6 Room Poem – Early Spring Hike

Early Spring Hike

Pine cones scattered,

Snow melting,

Water rushing,

Hemlock needles scattered too.

Babble, babble, babble brook.

Dappled sunlight,

Long shadows,

Interrupted by patch of

BRIGHT sun.

Babble, babble, babble brook.

The best part-

The gentle sound of the

Babbling brook.

I love that sound.

Need that sound.

Interrupted by the loud song of a

Red cardinal.

Babble, babble, babble brook,

Beautiful walk,

Needed walk,

Appreciated walk.

Happy, nourished, calm.

Ommmm, ommmm, ommmm, sigh.
